The Society for Conservation Biology hosts a screening of Gather
Please join the Davis Chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB-D) for a free private screening of the new film Gather! Gather explores human relationships with salmon, bison, and plants. All chapter members, other SCB chapters, and anyone at UC Davis and beyond with an interest in conservation biology, biodiversity, or environmental science is welcome to join this event.
Following the film there will be a chance to chat informally or learn more about SCB-D at a separate link (see below). SCB-D is a student-led chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology, the premier international membership society for professionals, students and non-profits dedicated to advancing the science and practice of conserving biodiversity.
This event is funded by a Beyond Tolerance grant from the UC Davis Center for Student Involvement.

About the film
A portrait of a growing movement amongst Indigenous Americans to reclaim their spiritual and cultural identities through obtaining sovereignty over their ancestral food systems, while battling against the historical trauma brought on by centuries of genocide.
